I received a letter from InvestorDelivery.com. Is it legitimate?
Yes. In many cases, mailed notices from InvestorDelivery.com are legitimate and relate to the electronic delivery of important investment communications.
InvestorDelivery.com is operated by Broadridge, a trusted third-party provider that manages electronic delivery services for much of the securities industry, including prospectuses, shareholder reports, proxy materials, and other investment-related communications.
You may receive a letter from InvestorDelivery.com if:
- An email sent to you could not be delivered.
- Your email address needs to be verified or updated.
- Your electronic delivery preferences need to be reconfirmed.
Most commonly, these notices occur when an email provider blocks or filters investor communications. As a result, you may need to update your email address or adjust your email settings to ensure you continue receiving communications from LPL Financial and related shareholder communication services.
What should I do if I receive this notice?
If you believe your email address has changed or may be incorrect, please contact our office first. In many situations, updating your email address in our internal systems can refresh your electronic delivery settings. If you do not have Account View access, additional steps may be required.
You should also check with your email provider to ensure that important shareholder communications are not being blocked or filtered as spam. To help ensure delivery, you may need to allow emails from the following addresses:
- id@proxyvote.com
- prospectus_mbox@investordelivery.com
After updating your email settings, please contact our office or review the instructions included in your mailed notice. In some cases, we may be able to work with our back office to help reinstate your paperless delivery preferences. Account holders may also verify or update their email address directly through InvestorDelivery.com by following the instructions provided.
Please note that our office cannot directly update your InvestorDelivery.com profile on your behalf.
What if I don't feel comfortable responding to the notice?
If you have questions about the mailing or would like assistance confirming that the communication is legitimate, please contact our office before taking any action. We are happy to help.
Why am I receiving paper documents if I previously elected paperless delivery?
If electronic communications cannot be successfully delivered to your email address, delivery of required shareholder communications automatically revert to paper.
Financial firms, mutual fund companies, and publicly traded companies are required by law and industry regulations to provide certain prospectuses, shareholder reports, proxy materials, and other important disclosures to investors. If electronic delivery fails because emails are blocked, filtered, or sent to an inactive or invalid email address, paper delivery may be reinstated to ensure you continue receiving these required communications.
To maintain paperless delivery, it is important to keep your email address current and ensure that communications from LPL Financial, InvestorDelivery.com, and related shareholder communication services are not being blocked by your email provider.
How long does it take for paperless delivery to resume?
After your email address has been updated or verified and any delivery issues have been resolved, it may take up to 60 days for paperless delivery preferences to be fully reinstated.
We appreciate your patience during this process and encourage you to keep your email address current so you can continue receiving important investment information electronically and in a timely manner.
