Ken Wilmot is an experienced professional with over 30 years as a financial advisor. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Ken serves the Portland Metropolitan Area in all areas of financial planning including strategic asset management, retirement planning, college planning and estate planning.
Ken was born in Cuba, New York and grew up on his family’s dairy farm in a small town outside of Rochester, New York. Ken graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor degree in Economics and moved to Portland, Oregon in 1972. Always a believer in the power of education, Ken recently earned his doctorate degree with a focus on stewardship from Western Seminary in 2011.
Ken and his wife Joanie have been married since 1974 and live in Happy Valley. They have a daughter, Stephanie and a son, Joel as well as three grandchildren. Ken and Joanie are involved in their community and at Abundant Life Church in Damascus. Ken enjoys studying history, cycling and yard work. He has traveled to many parts of the world and especially enjoys visiting biblical sites.
Ken is recognized as a top financial advisor by LPL Financial and in 2015 was named into their Chairman’s Club. This distinction is based on a ranking of all registered advisors supported by LPL Financial and is awarded to less than 6% of the firm’s approximately 14,000 advisors nationwide.
Ken holds his FINRA Series 6, 7, 22, 24, 63 and 65 registrations through LPL Financial.
